How to read these sources

A study addresses a specific question in a particular population. A change in an imaging or brain-mapping measure does not by itself demonstrate improvement in all symptoms or effectiveness for every patient.

Study design, sample size, comparison groups, outcome measures and follow-up matter. Acceptance, online availability and publication in a journal issue should be distinguished.

Priorities for further evaluation

Controlled studies, validated behavioral measures, longer follow-up, adverse-event reporting and independent replication are priorities. This collection will grow as documentation becomes available.

Related research and publications

Research summaries are based on publisher records. Listing a paper is not an independent endorsement of a method’s effectiveness.
